EXHIBITION OPENING

The Architecture Exhibition of Tomorrow

The question of what role architectural exhibitions will play in the future, what they will look like, and which media they will use is becoming increasingly urgent. Which audience do they address, and what should they achieve? What is the relationship between analog artifacts and digital information? Will exhibitions remain pre-conceived formats, or will visitors be involved and able to transform them? All of these questions are also of utmost importance to Architektur Galerie Berlin. In keeping with the proven practice of creating exhibitions through dialogue between the gallery, curators, and architects, selected studios were asked for ideas and suggestions for possible responses. They were asked to consider their experiences in communicating their own work and their teaching activities.

We are part of the exhibition with "Öffnungszeiten".

PLACESHIPS

J. MAYER H. - PLACESHIPS

PLACESHIPS is an immersive dive into the multiverse of J.MAYER.H’s creative cosmos. More than just buildings, these are living thought structures – bold, biomorphic entities born from sketches, models, and bozzetti that unlock entire constellations of parallel possibilities. This is quantum architecture: unpredictable, nonlinear, radically alive. Breaking free from earthly conventions, J.MAYER.H’s – PLACESHIPS rise from the flat grid of the planet’s surface, the "Monumento Continuo", echoing the utopian visions of Superstudio – yet aiming even further.
Visitors are invited on an interdimensional voyage – between Planetary Sparkle and Cosmic Latte – where form becomes fiction, and fiction becomes future.

OPENING: June 12, 6pm

SEGMENTS – Ways of Life Campus

at

Exhibition Rural Rebellion

Christoph Hesse Architects, Korbach/Berlin

26 October 2024 – 24 January 2025
Aedes Metropolitan Laboratory, Christinenstr. 18–19, 10119 Berlin

Segments is part of the Ways of Life Campus at Lake Edersee, a community project in the German countryside near Kassel. Together, with the initiator Christoph Hesse and co-curator Neeraj Bhatia, an international avant-garde of architects develops concepts to rethink dwelling and working in rural areas.

The exhibition illustrates how the projects create social, environmental and economical focal points, enabling a future-oriented transformation – one that not only improves life in the countryside, but also redefines it as a source of innovation and societal progress.
