Nodeul Art Island is a space where different stakeholders can come together and collaborate in new performative ways. The relationship between the human body, technology, and nature is stimulated with a series of interventions. Art installations and performances can unfold in new ways. These interventions range from pedestrian bridges, waterfront spaces, and floating stages to observatory decks that connect intrinsically with the fabric of the Han River and the city of Seoul.
Nodeul Art Island is a space that examines the extent to which the urban environment differs from the natural environment and how it accomplishes this. From this premise, a contrast between culture and nature is born. While nature gives birth and thrives on its own, culture creates and shapes according to a certain idea. The diversification of sciences allows transdisciplinary adaptations to expand on human studies.
