Taking only three months from the initial design concept to completion, Queen Tamar Airport in Mestia was voted the most beautiful airport in the world, activating this impressive and mountain valley for tourism and quick economic growth.

This newly built airport is part of Georgia’s ambitious plans to develop tourism in Mestia. The beautiful medieval town with its stone defensive towers is part of UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites and also famous as ski-resort. The unveiling of the airport took place after only three months of construction.
