On the occasion of the Metropol Parasol’s Tenth Anniversary in 2021, Aurora, a multisensorial mesmerizing LED lighting infrastructure was embedded into the overarching timber parasol as a tribute to the light of Seville. Visitors are immersed into an everchanging landscape of light and sound, reinterpreting contextual triggers and the parametric geometry of the Metropol Parasol’s architecture. Every night, from sunset onwards, visitors can access Aurora, including special programming for local days of cultural significance, such as Feria de Sevilla, Semana Santa, along with other thematic dates and events of the year.
