for Nya Nordiska

Every city fabric needs space for nature and retreat. Garment Garden by Nya Nordiska offered a place for relaxation within the busy Inside:Urban context of the first Design Annual in Frankfurt. Vertical elliptical columns were covered with folded fabric. They were ambivalent, either mini-high-rises or treelike structures, and their surfaces oscillated between curtain wall facades and bark. Mirrored walls reflected the pocket park into an endless display forest for the numerous products of Nya Nordiska, strolling in a nearby park or getting lost in the (city) jungle.
