SUPPORTING FLUSS BAD BERLIN AUCTION ON SEPT 12, 2024

For Berlin Art Week, the non-profit organization Fluss Bad Berlin will be featuring the exhibition and auction "50 Für Bad Berlin" in the Red Salon of the Bauakademie. Fluss Bad Berlin is a civil society initiative for urban development committed to making swimming possible in the Spree Canal and, in the long run, in other sections of the Spree River.
"50 Für Bad Berlin" will present works primarily by Berlin-based artists and architects who show solidarity with the objectives of the Fluss Bad Berlin project and the team behind it. They advocate a sustainable development of Berlin for the common good.
We have donated a piece from the Data Collages by Jürgen Mayer H. for the auction.

L.A. OXY ARTS GETTY PST OPENING ON SEPT 17, 2024

INVISIBILITY: POWERS & PERILS

Our art installation pre.text/vor.wand is part of “INVISIBILITY: POWERS AND PERILS” at OXY ARTS in Los Angeles, CA. We are very excited and honored to be part of Pacific Standard Time Art and Science Initiative by The Getty Museum.

This exhibition highlights the work of artists and scientists striving to render visible the people, histories and planetary conditions that have been erased within the cultural mainstream, helping to make legible the limits of our own conception of the invisible and its ecological and humanitarian ramifications.

Competition win, Sugar Valley, Munich

The international design contest for the former concrete factory in Munich's Obersendling has been concluded. In the so-called Sugar Valley, we designed a hub for socio-cultural interaction on the central plot. The offering of culture, gastronomy, events, and communal areas defines a unique DNA for the entire district with the integration of active artistic elements. The neighborhood in Munich's southwest will be one of the most sustainable in Germany, bridging modern work and living environments. The first phase of construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

PRINCETON REVIEWS

In May, Jürgen Mayer H. joined the thesis reviews for two days of speculating on the potentials of architecture in action. This year's projects at Princeton School of Architecture showcased a unique moment in architectural thinking. Performative articulations in presentations and real-life implementations were definitely a part of it. Congratulations to the students and faculty for two truly inspiring days of discussions about what the future holds for the profession.
